The Slovak Film and Television Academy (SFTA) granted the Slovak national film awards The Sun in a Net 2020 on Wednesday, September 9, 2020.
Documentarian Tomáš Krupa won Best documentary for The Good Death! HAILSTONE as a major producer of this international co-production project feels very proud and thankful to the all voting members of the Slovak Film and Television Academy SFTA! It's a great honour for all of the authors and partners.
"I think that our society is, unfortunately, busy with other topics and the topic of the finiteness of life and death does not have enough space. In general we pretend like it would be something unnatural to talk about death... I hope that Slovakia will once reach the stage of development when society and citizens do not have to analyze and monitor political cases and the lives of politicians on a daily basis, but these topics give way to more important topics such as the environment, culture and its importance, as well as importance of science and research, human rights and certainly the question of finiteness of life, "remarked Tomáš Krupa.
